Perfect for festivals, a quiet day of contemplation by the lake, or anything in-between.
The primary retreat facility in the community is The Sanctuary, an exquisite timber framed structure located at the heart of The Cove. The Sanctuary can accommodate up to 60 people for meeting and dining. The Sanctuary’s 1,200 square foot timber framed meeting space with cathedral ceiling, Palladian windows, and wrap-around porch invites the senses to participate with nature. Downstairs our 600 square foot dining hall can seat 60 people, with an adjoining warming kitchen that provides the essentials for a catering staff.
The Retreat House
Adjoining the Sanctuary is the Retreat House. With private retreat size rooms, it is perfect for groups whose work requires both common space for connection and private rooms for contemplation and taking in the events of the day.
Our outdoor kitchen provides the perfect space to participate in all aspects of a community meal. Grab some garlic and herbs from the adjoining organic garden to prepare your pizza for the wood-fired oven. Or learn several ways to prepare delicious potatoes after digging them fresh from the earth. From home-baked bread to the annual fava fest, our outdoor kitchen helps to reinforce a vital connection to both nature and nourishment that will last long after you leave.
Makers Market Grounds
Nestled between the Community Cafe and the lake, the Makers Market Grounds offers a beautiful space for folks to connect with local artisans, purchase high-quality, hand-made treasures, and learn new skills during hands-on demonstrations. All while enjoying the spacious, natural beauty of the setting.
Incorporating portions of an existing rustic home, the Cafe construction began in 2013, and has expanded into a community building with spacious areas for meeting and dining. It offers both indoor accomodations as well as the upper and lower porches for outdoor dining. Eclectically and beautifully designed, the Community Cafe is the heart of the Cove.
